Organisations, institutions and initiatives which are interested to become a Project Partner shall contact European Heritage Volunteers preferably in the year prior to the foreseen project.

This enables to visit during the season prior to the planned project a European Heritage Volunteers Project in order to get an impression about the spirit of European Heritage Volunteers Programme and to develop project ideas which are appropriate for the heritage site where the particular institution, organisation or initiative wants to host a European Heritage Volunteers Project.

The next step would be the participation at the European Heritage Volunteers Project Partners Meeting taking place usually in October or November and gathering representatives of different organisations, institutions and initiatives which are involved in various European countries in the European Heritage Volunteers Programme. The participation at the Project Partners Meeting is not mandatory for a potential Project Partner, but it is a good occasion to get to know the European Heritage Volunteers Programme better while exchanging experiences and best practice models, understanding the programme's quality standards and enablinge interaction and cooperation.

Usually, the European Heritage Volunteers Project Partners Meeting is linked with a conference "Best practices of heritage volunteering and practical oriented heritagem education" which provides a wider and more detailed inside view into the European Heritage Volunteers Programme.

Interested organisations, institutions and initiatives are invited to deliver proposals for European Heritage Volunteers Projects and European Heritage Training Courses in 2022.

The deadline for application for projects and courses which shall take place in March or April 2022 will be December, 24th, 2021, and for projects and courses which shall take place from July to December 2022 the deadline will be January, 15th, 2022.

The applicants will be informed about the decision if the project or course they did propose will be part of the European Heritage Volunteers Programme 2022 or not till January, 15th, 2022 for projects and courses planned for March or April 2022 and till February, 10th, 2022 for projects and courses planned between July and December 2022.
